The idea for Café Grillades
came out of a honeymoon trip to Europe by Samy and Genet
Fars, owners of the former Crepes du Monde in San Bruno,
a popular South Bay creperie and restaurant in the ____shopping
center
Expanding their original desire to recreate the authentic
savory and sweet crepes of France, Café Grillades
also features delicious Italian paninis, a host of tasty
Mediterranean inspired salads, plus authentic grilled
skewers and couscous plates from the Iberian and North
African coast. With the addition of “all hours breakfast”
with unique baked goods (decidedly not your usual pastries),
“make your own” omelets and crepes, an organic
espresso bar and a gelato bar with a wide range of luscious
flavors, Samy and Genet bring to their loyal customers
the spirit of the European café culture that inspired
their foray into the Bay Area dining scene.
